Heritage Law Group Hosts A Successful 2nd Annual Elder Law Event

In celebration of National Elder Law Awareness Month and National Stroke Awareness Month, Heritage Law Group hosted the 2nd Annual Elder Law Expo & Workshops on May 22, 2018 at Volunteer State Community College. Over two hundred attendees came out to enjoy complimentary educational workshops, meet and greets with presenters, over 35 local aging-focused vendors, complimentary meals, door prizes and more. The workshops were presented by Attorney Jake Mason of Heritage Law Group, Darlene Kemp of Vista Points Inc, Lori Galbreath of Tennessee State Health Insurance Program, Dr Megan Mason with Saint Thomas Medical Partners/Sumner Medical Group, Dr John Cage with Saint Thomas Heart, USMC(ret) Attorney Chris Johnson, and Dr Ming Wang of Wang Vision Institute & Wang Foundation For Sight Restoration.

“This event was so well attended and organized while full of valuable information,” said Taylore Logan of Alive Hospice, “as we had many attendees ask about our support groups and advance directives. It was a wonderful way to make local connections and spend our Tuesday afternoon in Sumner County.”

The aging population continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, and is projected to jump to nearly 17% (1.6 billion) by 2050 according to recent studies. Along with those projected rates are increased needs in health care and legal education, specifically Elder Law. These needs will have a significant impact on the families and local businesses surrounding this aging population. Attorney Jake Mason, LL.M. (Elder Law & Estate Planning) is the Owner of Heritage Law Group, PLLC. He and his team are dedicated to providing communities in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky the education to thrive and grow confidently with these changes.

“I feel it is my duty as a local business owner to contribute to my community by providing free education at events like our annual expo and seminars throughout the year,” stated Jake Mason, Owner of Heritage Law Group, “and I am honored to have the support of the community to do so.”
