In September of 2014, Jake Mason established Heritage Law Group, PLLC in Gallatin, Tennessee. This small law office established five years ago, assisting residents of Kentucky and Tennessee, is recognized today as a valued community resource, client advocate, and trusted legal counsel. On Tuesday, September 24, 2019, was a day of celebration with friends and family, including ribbon cuttings with the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce and Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce.

Progressive innovation and a heart for giving back to the community is the story of Heritage Law Group. Owner Jake Mason spends countless hours providing professional legal counsel to clients, educating groups on topics varying from basic estate planning to legal consequences of dementia, and serving to help those in need. He and his team volunteer their time personally and professionally to support Gallatin and the surrounding communities. Mason also dedicates his time and resources to create new events and opportunities for the community in the areas of education and wellness.
“When I started Heritage Law Group five years ago, my goal was to make lawyers more accessible to everyone in their community. I’m very thankful to my clients and my staff for making that dream a reality,” states Mason. “Our community is strengthened by its members working to make it a great place to live. Over the past five years, he has also sponsored and hosted events such as annual Elder Care Expos of Sumner and Robertson Counties, Sumner County Wills For Heroes benefiting 100 Club of Sumner County, annual food drives benefiting Sumner County Food Bank, and small seminars throughout Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. Mason has plans over the next five years to bring new and exciting events to Middle Tennessee to help the growth of the local economy, tourism and hospitality, and promotion of overall health and wellness for all ages.
Jake Mason has earned a Masters of Laws (LL.M.) in the areas of Elder Law & Estate Planning from Western New England University School of Law in 2018. He received Board-Certification as an Estate Planning Law Specialist (EPLS) in April of 2019 by The Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an ABA-accredited organization, subsidiary of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. Jake Mason is one of only 25 attorneys in Tennessee, 9 in Middle Tennessee, and the only attorney north of Nashville, to receive this honorable certification. He is also an Accredited Attorney with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs to assist in the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veterans’ benefits.
In addition, Mason is committed to providing local advocacy for those in need by volunteering and annually supporting Salvus Center, Inc., a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing primary health care to the working uninsured in Sumner County. The 3rd Annual Elder Care Expo in Sumner County benefited the Salvus Center. Mason also serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the Sumner County Museum Association in Gallatin, Tennessee and formerly served on the board of Sumner Teen Center in Gallatin, Tennessee.
