The firm is led by Attorney Jake Mason, LL.M., CELA, EPLS, the only attorney in Tennessee or Kentucky board-certified in both Elder Law and Estate Planning. Attorney Jake Mason, LL.M., CELA, EPLS

Licensed in Tennessee & Kentucky
Born in Lubbock, Texas and raised in Philpot, Kentucky, Jake Mason is the founder of Mason & Associates Law Firmin Gallatin, Tennessee. From the start, Jake’s drive for excellence was clear: he was a National Merit Finalist in high school and earned a full-tuition football scholarship to Vanderbilt University.
He graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Business and Economics (2003) and a B.S. in Biology (2010), both with Departmental Honors. Jake then earned his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law on a full-tuition scholarship in 2007 and became licensed in Kentucky the same year, later adding Tennessee in 2012.
Dedicated to serving clients at the highest level, Jake became an Accredited Attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 2016 and earned an LL.M. in Elder Law and Estate Planning in 2018. He achieved Board Certification as an Estate Planning Law Specialist (2019) and Certified Elder Law Attorney (2020), making him the only attorney in Tennessee or Kentucky with board certifications in both Elder Law and Estate Planning. He is also a graduate of Leadership Gallatin, Class of 2020.
Jake lives in Gallatin, Tennessee with his wife, neurologist Dr. Megan Mason, and their two daughters. Outside the office, he enjoys family time, coaching soccer, watching movies, and competing in RAGNAR races.
